President's Message

Greetings!

 

It is our pleasure to graciously welcome you to the website of the Greenville-Manchester Area Alumnae Chapter (GMAAC) of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated! Here, you can learn about our chapter, the ways in which we serve our communities, and information about our upcoming events and program initiatives. 

 

GMAAC is a public service organization ready to meet the needs of our local communities. Through the mission of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., our chapter provides a plethora of services that embody our Five-Point Programmatic Thrust:

3. International Awareness and Involvement

4. Physical and Mental Health

5. Political Awareness and Involvement

 

Through the Five-Point Programmatic Thrust, we pride ourselves in being able to reach our service areas which include Meriwether and Talbot counties. Service is in our hearts and at the core of what we do, but, additionally, we are leaders. In our surrounding areas, we are committed to leading and, furthermore, developing the leadership abilities of those around us.

 

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. was founded over 109 years ago by 22 collegiate women on the campus of Howard University in Washington, D.C., so we are committed to maintaining the legacy of our founders. This is why we pride ourselves in educating, empowering, and making an impact in our local neighborhoods.
